The season runs each year from start of day light saving (October Long Weekend) until end of March / April the following year – depending on when day light saving ends.

Twilight is a popular and inclusive social golf competition for Playing and Social members where teams of up to 15 players play in a 25 week competition Twilight is the perfect environment to start playing golf. You can make up your own team (min 6 & max 15 players per team) or we can help you find a team to join.

  • A registration fee of $10 per team member – all team members must be paid for when entering form.
  • You do not need to be a member of Tamworth Golf Club to play in the Twilight Competition as it is a Social Competition.
  • However, there are benefits and discounts for Playing and Social members within the on the course, in club and at the on-site restaurant.

No new teams or players will be accepted after 31 December.

Competition

The competition is a 9-Hole S/Ford event commencing Monday of the October Long Weekend each year.

    • All play shall be from YELLOW tees (unless the red marker is in front for females only).

    • The best 6 scores* from each team will count towards the team’s weekly and cumulative totals

    • The top 6 teams by cumulative points will qualify for the finals

    • Finals are to be played in the last week of the competition. Only the 6 finalists will play for the winning spots

    • The $17.00 green fee must be paid to the Pro Shop prior to playing

    • Only cards supplied by the Starter will be accepted towards a Team’s score.

    • You can play as many times as you like each week but only your best score will be counted

    • Twilight Golf can be played any day of the week BUT please check with Pro Shop before playing your round for available times on that day

    • Please submit your card after playing either in the Clubhouse or at the Pro Shop. Cards must be entered by close of business SUNDAYS. NO LATE CARDS will be accepted

    • Scores from the last 6 weeks of the competition will not be known to the players

Handicaps

    • All handicaps shall be at the discretion of the Handicapper

    • Players must play to their Twilight handicap supplied by the Starter

    • Club handicaps are NOT to be used

Presentation Dinner

Each player must play a minimum of 6 weeks (eg. if you play 3 times in one week it is still counted as 1 week) to be eligible to attend the Presentation Dinner at a minimal cost. If the 6 weeks are not played, players may still attend at a cost higher then those of have played 6 or more rounds –  please contact admin for dinner pricing as this may change at anytime. Partners are welcome to attend at the higher fee.

    • RSVP + payment to the dinner are required – please check with admin or our social for cutoff date – dates will vary each year.  Under NO circumstances will any late payments be accepted.

    • Team captains as well as Twilight players who have supplied their email addresses will be sent an invitation to the Presentation Dinner in the weeks prior – if you do not receive you invite 3 week prior please contact admin.
